The luxurious rooms at Peak District Spa offer a great weekend treat for anniversaries, children’s parties and family gatherings – with the opportunity for parties of up to 48 covers maximum in our licensed restaurant, or 60 covers in the children`s room. The different rooms within the main building also offer the opportunity of an aperitif in one room, dining in a second with a disco or children’s entertainer in the third or fourth room.
The Stables Restaurant
Buy the best ingredients, keep things simple, cook things to perfection ..this is the philosophy at the Stables restaurant at Rivendale.
All our meat is sourced from an excellent local butcher who buys the best meat - most of it local, much of it organic, hangs it for a lengthy period to allow the flavour to develop, and does not inject it with water etc.
Our menu has a seasonal variation with a daily special board influenced by the availability of local produce such as fish and game. As well as hearty stews and delicious pies, we offer roasts, curries, homemade soups, buffets, roasts and canapés to suit all occasions.

Birthday and Anniversary parties
This could be a formal black tie meal in the restaurant or an informal celebration with a buffet or 3 course meal – in a venue where children are welcomed in a family-orientated atmosphere. Alternatively, it could be held in a marquee behind the club buildings – or in a marquee elsewhere on part of our 37 acre site.

Children’s parties
Peak District Spa and Rivendale are family-orientated venues where children are welcomed and many children’s parties have already been successfully hosted.
Every year a variety of popular annual (themed) parties take place - notably at New Years Eve, Halloween, and bonfire night - with line dancing, karaoke, discos and live country music for up to 150 guests a regular feature over the last ten years.

We have also organised parties with children’s entertainers – or alternatively, clients have organised their own.
Children’s parties may include outdoor themes such as building dens, woodcraft, learning how to start and control campfires or include the use of the hot tub and Yurt.
Other possibilities might include the use of some of the outdoor specialists in the area whose activities include (amongst other things) pony trekking, hot air ballooning, golf, climbing, cycling,
off-roading, caving or nearby venues such as Go Ape or Carsington reservoir.
Coach parties
Coach parties are welcome, by arrangement, for light snacks, cream teas, cakes & drinks served either on the terrace or inside the buildings.
Xmas parties
Xmas parties of all types can be provided for friends, families, businesses and so forth at very competitive prices, during the day or in the evening by arrangement.
Menu and Wine List
With a well-equipped commercial kitchen, professional chef on site and wealth of excellent local meat and produce to hand, we can provide delicious snacks and meals to suit most tastes and budgets – from a bacon sandwich to a superb fillet steak.
We have considerable experience of catering for weddings, parties and business conferences over the years which have demanded both elaborate buffets and simple roast dinners and so can offer suggestions to suit most requirements. However, our guiding philosophy is to source the best local ingredients, keep it simple, cook it well.
Our standard wine list is deliberately brief but offers exceptional value for money. We do however work directly with a wine merchant (rather than through a brewery) who can source a wide range of vintages on a sale or return basis to suit your requirements.
Accommodation
The two biggest obstacles to many family gatherings are the problems of getting home after having a drink and finding a trustworthy baby sitter – particularly when many of your relatives may be attending the same event.

Not only are taxis and baby sitters expensive, they also impose a curfew on your night out and are often unreliable. On the other hand, many hotel venues are prohibitively costly when it comes to food, drink and accommodation.
At Peak District Spa, guests have a wide range of options – stay in a luxurious suite - or camp or stay in a caravan or motorhome from around £14 per night for 2 adults just up the road at Rivendale. Or even hire one of their Yurts, Holiday Caravans or Pine Lodges for a family or group booking.
