For those that want to leave their devices at home, our tranquil location in the Peak District National Park, close to popular market towns and villages like Tissington, Thorpe, Buxton, Hartington and Ashbourne, makes our cafe a perfect way to escape reality and unwind – enjoy home comforts; coffee, cake and cream tea’s.
For walking groups, cyclists, mums groups, or any other groups looking for a local coffee shop we will gladly cater and serve small parties without appointment, however larger parties would need to pre-book to ensure they’re not disappointed.
Our coffee shop is unique and traditional, housed within the old stone building; it has a feel that is well suited to the limestone buildings all around the Peak District area, embedded with history and heritage.

A fair walk, taking roughly 3-4 hours, it'll take you through some of the Peak Districts most beautiful scenery, following the river Dove down through its spectacular gorge into the stunning Wolfscote Dale, and then heading northward into the quaint village of Biggin (there is a nice pub here, called The Waterloo, which would make for a good respite), passing through Biggin you will then return to our Cafe via the infamous Tissington Trail.
