FEBRUARY
Saturday 16th - Valentines Disco at the Prancing Pony, Rivendale & starts from approximately 8.00pm.
MARCH
Friday 8th and Saturday 9th - Ashborune Royal Shorivetide Football: Held annually, the town of Ashbourne takes to the streets to host the ancient game of Shrovetide football. Two teams consisting of members born North of the River Henmore "Up'ards" and those born South "Downards", play on a 3 mile long field across the town, with goal posts located at two old mill sites at Clifton and Sturston. Shops and cafes are boarded up as the ball is kicked.
Saturday 30th - Easter Disco at the Prancing Pony. Starts from approximately 7.30pm.
APRIL
Saturday 20th - Vicki Lambert (Singer) Live at the Prancing Pony at Rivendale.
Sunday 21st - Chatsworth House Spring Plant Fair: Specialist nurseries will be offering a wide range of plants to guests.

Friday 14th to Tuesday 18th - Florabundance at Chatsworth: The House and gardens are transformed in a summer flower festival.

JULY
5th July to 21st - Buxton Arts Festival: Music, Operate & Literature set in the Peak District Halls, the annual festival is centred around the Opera house concerts.
Saturday 20th - Vicki Lambert (singer) Live in The Prancing Pony Bar at Rivendale
Sunday 21st - Ashbourne Highland Gathering: The annual highland gathering first held in 1985 hosts pipe band and dancing competitions, tug of wars and hill racing as well as events such as motorcycle stunt diplays teams and fair ground rides.
AUGUST
Saturday 3rd - Hawaiian BBQ at the Prancing Pony Bar & Restaurant - BBQ Served from 6.30pm on the patio and BBQ stand outside reception.
Wednesday 7th & Thursday 8th - Bakewell Show: A Celebration of the diversity of farming and the countryside with numerous trade stands, livestock judging, food halls and other attractions.
Wednesday 14th - Ashover Agricultural Show: A traditional agricultural and horticultural country show with entertainment & Exhibits.
Saturday 17th - Karaoke and Disco at the Prancing Pony Bar at Rivendale, starts from approximatley 7.30pm.
Friday 30th, Saturday 31st & Sunday 1st Sept - Chatsworth Country Fair: The Chatsworth estate home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, is host to the annual country fair, one of the largest events of its type in England. With numerous trade and craft stands and showground attractions and events such as jousting, terrier racing, the Red Arrows and the Tigers Freefall Parachute display team in the grand Ring, Chatsworth Country Fair is a great day out for all the family.
SEPTEMBER
Saturday 14th - Disco at the Prancing Pony Pub in Rivendale, from approximately 8.30pm.
OCTOBER
Saturday 12th - Vicki Lambert singing live at the Prancing Pony - covering songs from the 80's, 90's and 00's.
Saturday 26th - Halloween Fancy Dress and Disco at the Prancing Pony, from approximately 7.30pm

Things To Do Around Peak District Spa and Rivendale
An incredible variety of historic and cultural attractions, rugged outdoor scenery combined with the relatively compact size of the Peak District provide a fantastic choice of things to do and see within easy drive of Rivendale. Numerous local events and festivals are held throughout the year, from Ashbournes Royal Shrovetide Football, where the whole town takes to the streets for a ball game played in the streets and the traditional art of well dressing which can be seen from May to September at many of the surrounding villages.
